Chiropractor/Owner
Dr. Chris Nutting, DC, MSc
Dr. Nutting is the owner of Apex Chiropractic and Natural Health Centre, serving the community since 1999. With advanced training in chiropractic care, nutrition, and functional medicine, he focuses on sports injuries, family wellness, and helping patients achieve their health goals through education and personalized care.
He values the trust his patients place in him and strives to create a positive, supportive experience every step of the way. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Nutting enjoys traveling with his wife and family, walking his dog, watching tennis, cheering on the Oilers, and enjoying great food—especially sushi and Mediterranean cuisine.
Chiropractor
Dr. Brandon Psutka, DC, MSc
Dr. Brandon earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology from the University of Alberta, followed by a Doctor of Chiropractic and Master of Science in Sports Medicine from the University of Western States.
With a lifelong passion for sports and movement, Dr. Brandon was drawn to chiropractic for its hands-on, functional approach to healthcare. He focuses on helping patients improve movement and function so they can stay active and feel their best long term.
Dr. Brandon believes in creating strong, personal connections with each patient to build customized care plans that reflect their goals and lifestyles.
Outside of the clinic, he enjoys weightlifting, snowboarding, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with friends. He’s also an automotive enthusiast, a loyal Oilers fan, and once lived in Argentina for three years.
Registared Massage Therapist
Kathleen Fong, RMT
Kathleen brings over 18 years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, following previous careers as a fitness instructor and a teacher's aide for children with special needs. She began her massage therapy journey at Apex, where she was once a patient herself and immediately connected with the clinic’s warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Kathleen is passionate about helping clients recover from injuries and reduce pain through targeted treatments, home care exercises, and stretches. She values building trust with her patients and creating a space where they feel heard, supported, and comfortable.
Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, hiking, biking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Known for her straightforward nature and quirky sense of humor, Kathleen brings both professionalism and personality to every session.
Registered Massage Therapist
Richelle DeMaglio, RMT
Richelle is a graduate of the 3000-hour Advanced Massage Therapy Program at Makami College. Her passion for massage therapy started in high school through sports medicine classes and playing rugby—helping teammates recover from injuries sparked a lasting interest in the field.
Having worked in several clinics, Richelle found a true sense of community and comfort at Apex, where she enjoys supporting patients with personalized care and a friendly smile. She checks in regularly during treatments to ensure every client feels comfortable and heard.
Outside the clinic, Richelle loves exploring the outdoors in the summer, gaming in the winter, and expressing her creativity through painting, sculpting, and turning collected animal bones into unique art pieces.
Acupuncturist
Dr. Seyed Hamid Abtahi, Dr. AC, RAc, BSc, MSc
Dr. Abtahi is a respected clinician known for his compassionate care and ability to simplify complex health concerns. He blends Eastern and Western approaches to help patients understand the root of their symptoms and develop personalized, holistic treatment plans.
He holds a Master of Science in Anesthesia and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, as well as an honours diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture from Reeves College. He is fully licensed with the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta and certified in Su Jok Acupuncture—a specialized Korean technique focused on the hands and feet.
Dr. Abtahi treats a wide range of conditions including chronic pain, digestive issues, stress, insomnia, and autoimmune disorders. His treatments may include acupressure, Tuina, Gua Sha, moxibustion, electrostimulation, and scalp or ear acupuncture.
Patient Care Coordinator
Cheryl
​Cheryl brings over 35 years of experience in customer service from her career with the Federal Government. Now semi-retired, she loves being part of the Apex team, where she can connect with patients and help create a warm, welcoming environment. Outside of work, Cheryl enjoys gardening, curling, fishing, working out, and cheering on the Oilers. She’s also a proud mom and recently discovered a passion for scrapbooking!
Patient Care Coordinator
Mary
After 13 years of running a dayhome, Mary joined the Apex team to start a new chapter and embrace a fresh opportunity. She loves connecting with people and brings a cheerful, upbeat energy to the clinic. Whether welcoming patients or chatting in the waiting room, Mary helps make every visit feel warm and positive.
Outside of work, she enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. A fun fact—she and her husband share the same birthday!
